Vaarun "uncle" :D

Vaarun!
My dearest awesome brother!
Vaarun is just the perfect example of an older sibling!!
Every moment spent with him is full of energy! Be it roaming around town, visiting "Blue Dart" ;) , trekking up Sinhagad, reading, studying.... just about everything!!
He is the one I look up to for everything. The best thing about him is that he is enthusiastic about everything!! Be it the best ever trek or the worst ever exam, Vaarun is in the best of spirits!

Its great to have a brother like him.... I just can't imagine life without him!!

Particularly when everything seems really tough and impossible, Vaarun is the only person who can bring about a ray of hope....:)

The BEST thing he did was convincing Amma to get a dog home!! What I tried for close to 8 years, he did in no time!!

All in all my brother is just one unique person without whom nothing will be the same!!

I am lucky to have such a loving and wonderful brother!!

School!

School....Those were the best days!

I remember my first day at school when I threw a big tantrum, sobbing as though I was being abandoned permanently!

Little did I know I was going to a place where I'd meet some of the most fabulous people, have SOOOO many crazy things happening all the while and just have a different experience everyday!

Particularly after the 7th, school was different altogether! I made some wonderful friends, all the while upto some kidas !

I remember, once in the 7th standard, my friend, Neha and I did something really really awful!(And fun!)

In the lunch break, both of us quickly gobbled up some food and ran to the loo, armed with.....hold your breath....a fake lizard and a fake spider!

Our fake lizard was called "Lizzie" and the spider, "Taran"!

So, we went running up to the loo, trying to save as much time as possible, considering we had a very short lunch break...

We went and stuck Lizzie on the wall near the wash basin.

We then quietly stood outside, waiting for someone to turn up! There was a group of 10th standards, the typical Maryite, GIRLY type who came there. They walked halfway and on noticing little, innocent Lizzie, started screaming their lungs out! To add to the confusion, Neha flung Taran in the midst of them. That was just pure entertainment! The two of us had a laugh of a time, watching those sophisticated seniors, who usually bullied us, standing there and yelping for dear life!

Oh boy, we had soo much fun!

Teachers have always been on our list of "To Irritate". (But not the VERY VERY VERY strict teachers....)

People have always been imitating them and our batch was no less!

Of course, our philosophy has always been, "What's life without teachers to imitate?"

My school had some drawbacks as well...There was an awful lack of extra curricular activities....It was almost as though the school motto was "Study, study, and study a bit more!"

(not that I ever obliged!)

However, I already miss school and the lunch breaks in particular when we had pure, unadulterated FUN! I plan to visit it regularly too...:)

World Environment Day!

5th June, THE BIG DAY...! World Environment Day!

It was a truly memorable day when we had a cleanup and tree plantation in the society!

We planted about 8 trees in all! Hopefully our society will be hara bhara in sometime!

We planted 1 chikoo tree, a jamun tree, a chapha tree, a mango tree and another which is called "Eed limbu" in marathi and "nartanga" in tamil and a few more!

It was great fun working along with the others in the society, though this time, the attendance was low as compared to the last cleanup!
However, the message certainly reached two young children of the local construction workers who came to help us!
Infact, they planted a tree too!
That was the real reward of the day : We had spread some awareness about the cause!
All in all,it was a wonderful learning experience and was absolutely fun-filled!
